​The Emerson Flow Controls 091049 Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) is part of the NXT Series, engineered for high-efficiency R-410A air conditioning and heat pump systems.  This valve features a balanced port design, ensuring consistent performance across varying operating conditions.  It is equipped with a 5-foot capillary tube and a 1/4" ODF external equalizer, facilitating precise superheat control.  The valve's construction includes stainless steel sensing bulb and capillary tubing, enhancing durability and resistance to corrosion.  Additionally, it incorporates laser-etched identification markings for permanent legibility and hermetic, leak-free construction of all joints.

Designed with a 5/8" inlet and 7/8" outlet ODF sweat connections, the 091049 TXV is suitable for systems with an 8-ton capacity.  It offers adjustable superheat settings and includes a 15% bleed feature, allowing a controlled amount of refrigerant flow even when the valve is closed.  This feature aids in system pressure equalization during off cycles, enhancing overall system efficiency.  The valve's straight-through body design simplifies installation and integration into existing systems.​
