The Goodman-Amana 20406303 Sanhua SF10 Base Pan Water Valve is used in window air conditioner applications to control drainage of water built up through condensation. This is important to keep internal humidity at a reasonable range.
Suitable for use in applications with water temperature between 32ºF - 75.2ºF (0ºC - 24ºC) and with ambient temperatures between 14ºF - 122ºF (-10ºC ~ 50ºC).
Be sure that when installing the valve should be placed vertically with capillary tubes facing upwards. The unit bellows displacement in normal position is at 59ºF (+39.2ºF, - 28.4ºF) or 15ºC (+4ºC, - 2ºC).
These valves use a bellow displacement system. In most bellow valve systems used for prevention of leakage, contraction (sometimes compression or extension) may take place in a cartridge that is affixed to the valve stem causing it to open and drain. In the case of the 20406303, the "bellows {are} in normal position at 15ºC (+4ºC, -2ºC) and {they are} contracting inward at 4(+4, -2)ºC with a stroke of more than 5mm"
