Ok. I am replacing a switch on a high temp glass oven. I have the original 5502-236 switch that was on it. 1. Will the newer M model fit the existing dial I already have? Or 2. Does the newer one you recommended meet the same specs as the original 5502 I have? Naturally, I just want to replace what's there, but if I can't, i just want to make sure what I get will work. Thanks so much!

The Robertshaw 5502-236 Infinite Switch is replaced by the 5502-236M. The 5502-236 is no longer available, so information is limited.

The 5502-236M features the same Dial Shaft Type D as the 5502-236, and measures 2" in length. Below is a diagram:

There are grooves along the length of the dial shaft, allowing you to break off sections to meet your desired length.

Both switches are rated 15 Amps at 240VAC. The spades are located in a different position

The Robertshaw 5502-236M Infinite Switch 240V does not include the dial.

Please see the Robertshaw 5500-234 for the Infinite Switch 240V which includes a Black Dial. This product has a 2" inch dial shaft.
