The Taco 435-5 Air Scoop provides an economic way to combine air elimination with a plain steel or diaphragm expansion tank. The Taco Air Scoop is a noiseless, air-free hydronic heating, cooling or combination system solution, efficiently separating the air from the water in any systems. As air travel along a horizontal piping system the lighter air is gathered at the top. The Air Scoop decelerates the air and water velocity so that air bubbles can be easily removed by the interior baffles and directed to Hy-Vent to vent the air, or sent to a connected expansion tank.
